First of Omnia’s three luxury penthouses revealed

Sydney, 7 June 2019 – The first of three luxury penthouses in Greenland Australia’s recently opened Omnia apartment building in Potts Point, The Regal, has now reached settlement, with the buyer set to move in.

Sold prior to release, the 294sqm dual-level penthouse was specially configured to suit the buyer’s particular requirements and features four bedrooms – each with an ensuite – as well as a living space on each floor, a designer kitchen and an expansive city and harbour-facing balcony.

Positioned on the southern end of the building, the penthouse offers spectacular views from all rooms, taking in Rushcutters Bay in the east, to Kings Cross, across William Street to Darlinghurst, and through to the CBD, including the Sydney Opera House.

With interiors designed by Studioaria, finishes, fixtures and fittings include:

  • a fully integrated C-bus home automation system controlling lighting, curtains and electrical systems
  • a Samsung biometric fingerprint, keypad and bluetooth front door access system
  • an open plan chef-quality kitchen complete with Gaggenau appliances
  • silk feature wall in guest bedrooms
  • feature leather wall panelling in the master bedroom
  • custom carpeting
  • top of the range Duravit and Axor sanitaryware and bathroom fixtures manufactured in Germany
  • subtle concealed lighting
  • bespoke joinery throughout – including the kitchen, walk-in robes and wardrobes

An expansive outdoor entertaining terrace facing the CBD and harbour includes a built-in BBQ and Aspect Studio-designed landscapes.

Paul Greenwood, Director, Studioaria, said the penthouse interiors were inspired by the Art Deco architecture prevalent in the Potts Point area.

“Our design paid homage to the many beautiful Art Deco buildings in the precinct – this was reflected in the custom-made carpets, wall panelling, wall coverings and light fixtures,” he confirmed.

“It’s quite refreshing to see Art Deco inspired details utilised in a contemporary building of this nature.

“The client’s brief required a flow from the living and dining areas through to the terrace to create a fluid interaction of space, which is perfect for entertaining – we’re proud to say this has been achieved to great effect.”

Characterised by its curvaceous hourglass shaped façade sitting atop a sculptured podium, the $262 million Durbach Block Jaggers-designed Omnia building is ideally located between Victoria Street and Darlinghurst Road, Potts Point.

In March this year the project set a new benchmark when a couple from Sydney’s eastern suburbs purchased the second Studioaria designed 285sqm penthouse The Royal, for $14,250,000, equating to $50,000 per square metre – making it one of the highest prices paid for any apartment outside the Sydney CBD.

Featuring a sculptural helical stair and lift linking its two levels, The Royal includes four bedrooms each with en-suite, an expansive open living, dining and kitchen that gives way to a spectacular terrace with views extending from the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House to the harbour entrance and beyond.

The couple also purchased a two-bedroom apartment, several floors down, for their adult children, resulting in a combined sale of just under $16M.

Meanwhile, Omnia’s last remaining penthouse – The Noble – is still for sale, and offers 356sqm of floor space, 235sqm internal and 121sqm external, with four bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms – featuring a free-standing tub in the master – and one family bathroom.

Studioaria imagined this as an exclusive coastal retreat with the elegance of a house in The Hamptons. The Noble exhibits similar features to The Royal – including unsurpassed views and entertaining spaces including two outdoor terraces, one with a heated jacuzzi.

Buyers of Omnia’s three penthouses will also have access to the building’s signature, open-air podium-level landscaped gardens, designed by Aspect Studios, as well as the convenience of having a Woolworths supermarket, specialty stores and restaurants on level one.

The penthouses are the first in Greenland’s Penthouse Collection and mark a milestone for Greenland in expanding its dedicated penthouse offerings, including the highly-anticipated Greenland Centre in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Greenland Australia’s Managing Director, Sherwood Luo, said it was exciting to see the first Greenland Penthouse Collection home reach completion.

“It’s great to have the opportunity to showcase our first completed penthouse, which perfectly demonstrates our expertise in delivering premium luxury residences for the most discerning of buyers.

“The buyer of this penthouse is delighted with the result and looks forward to entertaining friends and family and taking advantage of having such close proximity to the Sydney CBD and surrounding suburbs,” added Mr Luo.

In addition to The Noble penthouse, only a limited number of apartments currently remain for sale at Omnia.
