First residents arrive at major north-west Sydney project
The first buildings in Greenland Australia’s Macquarie Park development ‘nbh at Lachlan’s Line’ have opened their doors
Sydney, January 2020 – Leading property developer Greenland Australia has announced the opening of the first two towers in its landmark masterplanned community in the north-west Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park, ‘nbh at Lachlan’s Line’ (nbh).
The first residents in the nbh community moved into their homes in the 12-storey Habitat and 14-storey Hideaway buildings just before Christmas.
Habitat and Hideaway are the first two of six contemporary apartment towers at nbh, and will soon be joined by the Nexus, House, Home and Hearth buildings, which range in height from 2 to 17 storeys.
Delivered by construction partner, Ganellen, the project comprises 592 apartments across the six buildings, and is situated in a growing corridor in one of Sydney’s fastest-growing suburbs, conveniently adjacent to a business precinct that is predicted to become NSW’s second-largest economy in the coming years.
The striking development will also include the 5,000sqm Lachlan’s Square Village, which features a retail High Street, alfresco dining and restaurants, plus a range of health, fitness and lifestyle amenities, centred on Lachlan’s Square.
Meanwhile, a 1,225sqm community centre is set to open on the site in the coming months, with the facility to be operated by the City of Ryde Council, offering a much-needed hub for events, kids’ activities and gatherings.
In addition, a medical and wellness centre, gymnasium, day care facility, children’s playground and public amphitheatre will be located within the community for the benefit of nbh and Macquarie Park residents.
According to Greenland Australia’s Managing Director, Sherwood Luo, the completion of the first phase of the nbh project is an exciting milestone for Greenland Australia.
“It’s so satisfying seeing this project come to fruition and to see Greenland Australia making such a strong contribution to Sydney’s future housing supply with nearly 600 brand new one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments,” said Mr Luo.
“We expect this precinct, which is extremely well connected by two train stations on the Sydney Metro North West and bounded by the M2, Epping Road and Lane Cove Road, to very quickly become a lively, active and self-sustaining community.
“But there’s more to come from us – we’re currently working on the development application for the next phase of the project, which will deliver over 300 additional apartments across two buildings and complete the nbh precinct.”
In addition, Mr Luo flagged Greenland Australia’s ongoing delivery of two other major projects.
“2019 was undoubtedly a big year for us, with strong progress on our other Sydney projects – Park Sydney in Erskineville, and Greenland Centre in the Sydney CBD.
“At Park Sydney, we’re on the verge of topping out some of the first buildings in what is one of Sydney’s largest urban renewals projects, while at Greenland Centre we’re on track to deliver one of the tallest residential towers in the Sydney skyline by the end of this year.
“These projects reinforce our objective to deliver outstanding places in which our future residents can live, shop, play and relax.”
