A Look Back at 2021

After another busy and eventful year, we thought it would be nice to recap everything that has happened at Greenland Australia over the last 12 months, as we’ve completed projects, welcomed new residents and celebrated some outstanding achievements.

It’s also a perfect time to thank you for your continued support and to reiterate how glad we are to have you with us on this journey.

CORPORATE

Second annual Agents Awards celebrated
In February, Greenland Australia rolled out the red carpet to celebrate our second annual Agents Awards night.

The gala evening brought together our outstanding network of channel agents, to recognise them for the major contribution they have made to Greenland Australia’s award-winning success.

Attendees heard from Greenland Australia’s Managing Director, Sherwood Luo, about the vital role our agents play, before important updates on the company’s current projects and sales results from Tiantian Wang, Sales and Marketing Director.

The evening was capped off outstanding food and beverage offerings, which were the ideal accompaniment to a lovely event.

Greenland reaches new high in Fortune Global 500 list

Greenland Australia’s parent company, Greenland Group, once again hit new heights in 2021, proudly rising 34 places in the latest Fortune Global 500 list.
With a highest-ever ranking of 142, Greenland has now been recognised as a Fortune Global 500 company for ten consecutive years, since becoming the first Chinese developer to make the list back in 2012.

The result is further proof of Greenland’s commitment to high-quality, innovative development that is designed to improve lives around the world.

GREENLAND CENTRE

Greenland Centre Sydney opens the doors to its first residents

In late March, we were very excited to welcome the first residents at our flagship project, Greenland Centre Sydney, as we progressively commenced opening up sections of the building for occupancy.

Since moving in, it has been incredibly pleasing to see our apartment owners enjoying their new homes, getting to know each other, and experiencing the many spaces and amenities across the building.

Now that many of our purchasers have taken up residency, we are well on the way to establishing a community of close to 1,000 people at Greenland Centre Sydney, confirming this exciting project’s status as a true vertical village, right in the heart of Sydney.

City of Sydney Creative Hub handed over

During June, we were thrilled to finally hand over the keys to the City of Sydney Creative Hub at Greenland Centre Sydney.

This state-of-the-art facility occupies 2,000sqm across the first five floors of Greenland Centre and will become a home to the city’s growing arts community, offering spaces for dance, theatre, music, film and the visual arts.

With soundproofed rooms for music rehearsals, editing suites for filmmakers and studios for visual artists, the $25 million creative hub is sure to be a go-to destination for Sydney’s budding and established creatives.

Greenland Centre Sydney honoured with major property award

November saw Greenland Centre Sydney recognised with the first of what we hope will be many awards for this exceptional development.

Greenland Centre received the High-Rise Residential Development City award at Urban Taskforce Australia’s Development Excellence Awards 2021, and we were incredibly honoured to be in attendance to accept the award.

This acknowledgement is a testament to the many years of hard work and dedication that have gone into creating Greenland Centre, with the Urban Taskforce also making special mention of our innovative Sydney Balconies, as well as the City of Sydney Creative Hub for the arts, in presenting this prestigious award.

Lord Mayor cuts the ribbon on Greenland Centre Sydney

Also in November, we celebrated the final completion of Greenland Centre Sydney, with the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Councillor Clover Moore, joining us for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Attendees at the event heard from Greenland Australia’s Managing Director, Sherwood Luo, who acknowledged the efforts of the team behind the project in ensuring its resounding success. Meanwhile, attendees also heard from architects BVN about the unique design of the building, which sustainably repurposed the original Sydney Water building on site, and builders Probuild, who touched on the construction of the project.

Five years in the making, Greenland Centre Sydney is the ultimate symbol of our collaboration with some of the best partners in the industry, as well as our long-term working relationship with the City of Sydney, and stands as one of the tallest residential buildings in Sydney at over 235 metres (771 feet).

PARK SYDNEY

Park Sydney’s second stage, Arbor, launches

On 20 November, it was our distinct pleasure to launch the newest stage at our Erskineville project, Park Sydney.

Known as ‘Arbor’, our second residential offering at Park Sydney features a stunning range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with strong expressions of interest in the new release prior to launch, followed by an impressive sales performance at launch. In the end, 70% of our first release apartments sold on opening weekend, including all three-bedroom apartments.

Arbor is set to complement Park Sydney’s completed Stage 1 buildings, ‘Botany’ and ‘Cascade’, and is synonymous with the high-quality fixtures, plush materials, inviting living spaces and spacious balconies that Park Sydney is known for.

Our display gallery also underwent a revamp to coincide with the launch of Arbor, giving potential purchasers the chance to visit and experience Arbor’s apartments for themselves.

Park Sydney Village grows from strength to strength

Our Park Sydney residents and members of the Erskineville community have strongly benefited from our onsite retail precinct, Park Sydney Village, which offers access to a 1,600sqm Woolworths Metro, as well as a barber, a nail salon, a medical practice and a pharmacy.

In the second half of 2021, we also welcomed three new stores to the family at Park Sydney Village, including a dentist (Midas Dental), which opened in August, plus a sushi dining outlet (Mizuki Sushi), which opened in September.

We’ll also be welcoming Devon Café to the family at Park Sydney Village in December 2021. Meanwhile, Mini Masterminds Childcare will be opening in early 2022, offering over 80 childcare places for our residents and the local community.

NBH AT LACHLAN’S LINE

Our nbh at Lachlan’s Line community shapes up

nbh at Lachlan’s Line is quickly becoming one of the finest lifestyle destinations in north-west Sydney, and it has been exciting to see this community grow and flourish over the last year.
We were pleased to welcome many more new residents during 2021, who appreciate nbh’s ideal location between two Metro stations, at the gateway to the second largest business hub in NSW, Macquarie Park.

As one of the suburb’s largest residential precincts, nbh also serves as a major community hub, with residents and locals able to access a range of retail, health, fitness and lifestyle amenities, ensuring this north-west Sydney community has rapidly become a thriving village.

Retail and events bring Lachlan’s Square Village to life

nbh at Lachlan’s Line is centred on the vibrant 5,000sqm Lachlan’s Square Village, which features a retail High Street with alfresco dining and restaurants, cafés, fresh food providers and a supermarket for the ultimate convenience.

Over the course of 2021, we’ve welcomed some exciting new tenants to Lachlan’s Square Village along with a programme of regular events at Lachlan’s Square Village, including our annual Christmas fun, with Santa’s Breakfast and face painting, balloon twisting and even Santa’s reindeer.

It is great to see our growing community come together at events like these, and we look forward to many more community events just like this in the future.
