Second DA for Park Sydney Stage One lodged with Council

The Park Sydney project team marked a major milestone yesterday afternoon – lodging the second DA for Stage One with the City of Sydney.

Managing Director Sherwood Luo said of the achievement, “Yesterday’s handover of the DA and supporting documentation marks the end of months of hard graft by a great team inside the company, combined with inspired input from our many consultants. Having a clear vision for the project has helped a great deal; so too has working closely with the City of Sydney. Together we sought and achieved an excellent end design.

“The next major challenge will be going to market with our premium offering in the next week or two. Positive reaction from prospective buyers gives me confidence, however, that Park Sydney is off to a strong start.”

The first two buildings to be developed, ‘Botany’ and ‘Cascade’, will have 325 apartments in total. Other major components will be 4,500 square metres of retail space, a commercial childcare centre for up to 90 kids, and the new internal road beside both buildings and the footpath between them (Foundry Street and Stovemaker Lane). The documentation has detailed building and interior designs from WMK Architecture and local interior design firm Alexander & Co. There are also detailed drawings by landscape architects, Tract, of Park Sydney’s public areas that include shared pathways and play equipment.

The Stage Two DA as it is known is expected to go on public display by mid-June 2017. Everyone will be able to access the DA and supporting documents via the City of Sydney website: (https://online.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/DA/OnExhibitions) or by visiting a City of Sydney Neighbourhood Service Centre. The nearest neighbours to the Park Sydney site will receive a mailout from Council once the DA is on public exhibition. The community generally has 30 days to make a submission on complex DAs lodged with the City of Sydney once they go on public display.
