Sydney’s north-western residential hub taking shape as new towers emerge

Sydney, 5 September 2018 – The future Macquarie Park residential precinct in north-western Sydney is gaining an increasingly defined profile, with the first towers of Greenland Australia’s ‘nbh at Lachlan’s Line’ now becoming firmly established on the suburb’s skyline.

Greenland Australia acquired Lot 104 and 105 of the Lachlan’s Line in late 2015, with DA approval granted for the construction of the1.53-hectare site with apartments and retail floor space.

Greenland Australia’s construction partner, Ganellen, commenced construction of the site’s first buildings in December 2017, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Now, residents of Sydney’s north-west are getting their first glimpse of the ‘nbh at Lachlan’s Line’ precinct, with the development’s three western towers rising from the site, at the junction of Epping Road and Delhi Road.

The four residential towers – known as Habitat, Hideaway, Hearth, Nexus will ultimately rise to 17 storeys and wrap around the future Lachlan’s Square, just 200 metres from the North Ryde metro station.

Nexus will be the landmark building of the site, featuring unrivalled district views of Lane Cove National Park and Chatswood.

All four buildings are now completed up to level 10, with lift cores completed up to level 12, while the installation of essential elements such as plumbing, wiring and other internal services is proceeding at pace, with the ground floors and first three levels completed on all towers.

According to Greenland Australia’s Managing Director, Sherwood Luo, construction works are ahead of target nbh at Lachlan’s Line are well on target.

“We’re right on track with the construction at nbh, and Ganellen are working hard to deliver our vision of a sustainable and connected urban village in this growing part of Sydney,” said Mr Luo.

“It’s exciting to see our first three towers emerge from the site, and we’re looking forward to being able to hand over this project to our buyers and the Macquarie Park community next year.”

Mr Luo says nbh will be the centrepiece of the future Macquarie Park community.

“nbh will be located right in the middle of a 6,000-apartment master-planned precinct which is set to become the residential and business hub of Sydney’s north-west corridor,” said Mr Luo.

“Lachlan’s Square will also become the community’s key retail destination, lined with supermarkets, food emporiums and essential services, not to mention day care and playground facilities for young families.

“Meanwhile, through our partnership with Landcom, residents at nbh will also enjoy access to parklands, foot bridge access to North Ryde Station and nearby nature reserves and national parks.”

The construction progress at the nbh site is also a strong sign of Greenland’s commitment to the Sydney apartment market, confirmed Mr Luo.

“As a company, we’re committed to delivering our projects, with nbh just one of our many developments in Sydney,” he added.

“Works are nearly complete on our Omnia development in Potts Point, while our Greenland Centre Sydney site in the CBD is progressing rapidly and we’ve just broken ground on our Park Sydney urban renewal project in Erskineville.

“All of this points to a very positive future for Greenland Australia in our mission to deliver essential housing supply to the Sydney market.”

With prices at Hearth starting from $618,000 for a 1 bedroom, Mr Luo is encouraging interested buyers to get in touch with Greenland Australia’s exclusive sales agents The Property Investors Alliance (PIA) on 02 9192 2800.
