Greenland looks at entering Europe with possible investment opportunities in Italy
On 3 November, 2014 Dario Nardella, the Mayor of Florence visited Greenland Group. Dario Nardella and Zhang Yuliang, Chairman and President of Greenland Group shared ideas and reached consensus on strengthening cooperation.
Zhang Yuliang extended his warm welcome to Dario Nardella. Zhang noted that Italy is not only a great nation in history, but is a frontrunner in the field of modern design and creativity, particularly impressed with the time-honored history and global influence of Florence. The Chinese government also places high importance on the economic and trade cooperation between China and Italy. He said Greenland Group, as one of the Fortune Global 500 enterprises and possibly the largest property developer in the world is expanding its international trade at a rapid but steady pace and look forward to the opportunity to work with Italy. The total area under construction of Greenland Group is over 75 million square metres globally with a total investment of over EUR50 billion. In addition, Greenland Group holds more than 100 hotels. Greenland Group’s strong brand influence and market appeal are bringing a great amount of Chinese enterprises and consumers to the international market and China’s vast consumer market is attracting Italian enterprises too. Greenland Group is proactively preparing for the building of its Direct Imported Goods market to strongly expand its “high consumption” business, with respect to which Greenland Group is looking to work with Italy so as to introduce good Italian brands and quality food into China’s market.
Mayor Dario Nardella said through this visit, he had a better understanding of the tremendous business scale of Greenland Group and the great results it had achieved. Greenland is one of the most outstanding enterprises in China and he was especially impressed by the expansion pathways adopted by Greenland and the development outcomes achieved. He said he sincerely looked to Fortune Global 500 companies such as Greenland Group to make investments in Italy, especially in Florence so as to lead more Chinese enterprises and consumers to Italy. He hoped that through commercial and trade cooperation, more quality Italian brands could be brought into China. Mr Nardella is planning to introduce Florentia Village outlet projects into Shenyang Greenland International Aviation Commercial Centre. He hoped both nations could rapidly deepen commercial consultation and raise the level of cooperation to start comprehensive cooperation and achieve fruitful results.
